In MHL action in New Glasgow last night, the Pictou County Weeks Crushers dumped the South Shore Lumberjacks 6-3. The Jacks only trailed 2-1 before surrendering three goals in the second half of the second period. It was a disappointing loss for the Jacks who had only given up six goals in their previous three contests. Max Robitaille, Gareth Nicholson, and Seth Schmidt scored for the South Shore, who will try to get back on track tomorrow night when they host the St. Stephen County Aces at the LCLC.
Connor Goodick scored the lone for the Charlie’s Pizza South Shore Mustangs in a 4-1 loss to the Valley Wildcats. The Mustangs are on the road on Saturday night to play the Halifax McDonalds.
A late third period goal helped the East Hants Penguins to a 6-5 win last night over the Liverpool Privateers. The two teams square off again tonight in East Hants.
