Fatal fire destroys camper in Chester Grant

Lunenburg District RCMP are investigating a fatal fire that destroyed a camper trailer in Chester Grant early Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to a property on Balsam Drive at about 6:25 a.m., where they found the trailer fully engulfed.

After the fire was extinguished, the remains of an adult were discovered inside.

Investigators from the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office and the Medical Examiner Service examined the scene.

RCMP say that based on evidence collected so far, criminality is not suspected.

The investigation is ongoing.

RCMP say their thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones.
