Tancook Trial: Accused Admits To Shooting During RCMP Interview

A Little Tancook Island man accused of first degree murder admitted to shooting his daughters common-law partner.

Sixty-one year old Terry Levy told police “It was either him or me…”

He made the remarks during police interrogation just hours after he was arrested in relation to the death of Terry Green on July 8.

The pair had a violent history and Green was on his way to confront Levy when he was shot.

Levy told police “he would not take another beating.”

The details were revealed during an RCMP interrogation video played during Day 3 of the Supreme Court trial.

Levy’s lawyers claim he was acting in self-defence.

However, the Crown is arguing the murder was planned and deliberate.

The trial is expected to last seven days.
