Two Nova Scotia Curling titles were claimed yesterday at the Mayflower Club.
Mary Mattatall’s NSCA crew grabbed the Provincial Women’s Scotties crown by dumping Liverpool native Jill Brothers 10-4.
On the men’s side, Jamie Murphy of the Halifax Club won his second straight Tankard with a 9-7 extra end win over Dartmouth’s Stuart Thompson.
In other Provincial playdowns, a major upset as five-time Canadian champ Jennifer Jones was ousted in the semi finals in Manitoba.
And Brad Gushue will be at the Brier in St. John’s in March after winning the Newfoundland & Labrador Tankard.
