New Restrictions In Place At LCLC

People looking to bring a backpack into the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre during a Junior ‘A’ hockey game are being met with new restrictions.

LCLC General Manager Kevin Benjamin says as of now, no backpacks will be allowed in the facility during a Lumberjacks game unless people are accessing the aquatic centre.

Visitors will also not be allowed to congregate near the facility’s main entrance.

Benjamin says the rule change is due to recent horseplay inside and outside during hockey games.

“We want patrons that visit and watch the game or visit the LCLC in general to be able to come here, feel safe and enjoy the evening.”

Bridgewater Police will help LCLC and Lumberjacks staff monitor and provide enforcement.

The new initiative will be in place for the rest of this season.
