Green CommUnity School Grants

Here’s a chance for South Shore area schools to turn green ideas into reality. The World Wildlife Federation is looking for ideals to make schools and communities more environmentally friendly. Schools can win up to five thousand dollars from the WWF Green CommUnity School Grants Program. Funded by Loblaw Companies Limited, the program aims to connect students with nature, help reduce a community’s impact on the environment and stimulate environmental leadership. The deadline for applications is October 13th. Winners will be announced in December West Northfield Elementary School was a Spring 2011 recipient.
