A Halifax doctor has been charged with trafficking over 50,000 pain killers.
Police Chief John Collyer says they’ve been investigating Dr. Sarah Jones for seven months.
“The allegation is there’s a history of prescribing prescription narcotics, specifically opioids, to one of her patients here in Bridgewater,” he says, “and that patient never received it.”
Collyer says Jones has also been charged with fraud, theft, and breach of trust. She is due in court this May.
