A Nova Scotia curler is calling for changes.
Jill Brothers is curling at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Grande Prairie.
She and other female curlers had to leave the rink earlier this week to breastfeed their children.
Brothers says a private space would have helped.
“You know, maybe I just got my butt-kicked by Alberta and I don’t want to sit on a bench where all the fans are coming out, to nurse my baby, when they’re like ‘Oh, tough loss.’ “
Children are not allowed in concourses or dressing rooms at major curling events.
Curling Canada set up a private area on Thursday after learning about complaints that were made.
Brothers hopes it won’t be an issue in the future.
