The Town of Bridgewater is now offering another way to pay your tax bills.
If you’re low on cash you can now pay online by credit.
Mayor David Walker says the decision was driven by demand.
“I think what you want to do is provide as many options as you can to individuals,” he says. “If that’s the way they want to pay then that option is now there.”
He warns the privilege comes at a cost.
Credit card companies will charge an extra 2.5%.
Walker says if the fee feels too steep, there are many other ways to pay your bill both in person and online.
