Chester’s Mary Fay is taking on the world.
The 17 year-old is representing Nova Scotia and Canada at the World Junior Curling Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Canada opens up play Sunday against Switzerland.
Fay says she’s well prepared to take on the best junior curlers.
“Some of the best lessons I’ve learned is from some difficult losses; last year we lost the gold medal game of Canada Games. I can look back on that now and say that’s definitely helped us get where we are today.”
Fay is coming off gold medal performances at nationals and the Youth Winter Olympic Games.
Canada is the defending champion at the Worlds.
She says the team will have to curl their best to retain the title.
