The trial of a Mount Pleasant women charged with criminal negligence in the death of her nine-year-old daughter could wrap up today.
Candice Moore is accused of running over her daughter, Olive, in 2013.
The jury heard an emotional testimony from Moore’s oldest son yesterday.
The youth, who’s now 16, testified his sister had come around to the driver’s side window, upset about being dropped of at their aunt’s house.
He says he didn’t realize she was hurt until his mother told him to stay with Olive while she went for help.
Closing statements are set for this afternoon.
Then it will be up to the jury to decide the case.
