Lunenburg County residents will have to drive a little further up the street for municipal services.
The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg voted at council this morning to approve the relocation and construction of a new administration building.
The current building doesn’t meet building code or accessibility standards.
MODL is budgeting $7.2 million dollars for construction.
However, the municipality will not have to borrow or raise taxes to pay the bill as they’ve set aside money over the past number of years to cover the costs.
The new Administration building will be located on municipally-owned land at Osprey Village.
