Two people from Lunenburg County face drug charges following a month-long investigation by police.
Forty-three year-old Jill Corine Demont of Western Shore and 37 year-old Quentin Maurice Sykes of Bridgewater were arrested this week during a traffic stop near Gold River.
Cash, cocaine and several other types of drugs were found during searches of the vehicle and a home in Western Shore.
Both people appeared in court Tuesday.
Demont faces several charges including:
Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Methylphenidate for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of MDMA for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of psilocybin for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Benzocaine Intending That it Will be Used to Traffic in Cocaine
She was released and is scheduled to return to Bridgewater Provincial Court April 10.
Sykes was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and breach of probation.
He was remanded into custody and is back in court today.
