The province has a milestone to celebrate, 75 per cent of people have at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang said our numbers got a big boost after about 8000 vaccinated military members living in the province were included in the data.
Dr. Strang said it’s the minimum vaccination threshold for Phase 4 reopening.
“75 percent of the entire population means 85 per cent of those who are eligible. That’s a lot, but we still have more to do,” he said. “That’s just a target, that’s a minimum target. We need to keep adding and building on that everyday.”
Dr. Strang didn’t announce if Phase 4 would go ahead as planned next Wednesday.
