65-year-old in hospital after being trapped under ATV all night

King District RCMP is investigating after a serious off-road vehicle collision on Stirling Rd. in Sunken Lake.

At approximately 7:05 a.m. Saturday morning, police were notified of an off-road vehicle collision on Stirling Rd. in Sunken Lake.

Police, fire and EHS attended the scene and found an off-road vehicle had been travelling on Stirling Rd. when it left the road way and entered a ditch.

The driver was pinned under the off-road vehicle and police later learned that he had been pinned for approximately 8 hours before he was able to call for help.

The driver of the off-road vehicle suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Halifax by Lifeflight.
