Lunenburg RCMP, with assistance from the Joint Rescue Co-Ordination Centre, have located three missing people who had gotten lost while tubing in Pleasant River.
Around 8:35 p.m. yesterday, police received a complaint that there people were overdue after they had gone tubing in Pleasant River. Police and Fire responded while Ground Search and Rescue were activated.
As the search progressed, the RCMP requested assistance from the JRCC, who dispatched a Cormorant helicopter to the area. The crew of the cormorant located the three missing people a short time later.
All three of the people were uninjured and the RCMP brought them home.
The RCMP are thanking the JRCC, fire departments and ground search and rescue teams who helped in the search
