Mustangs Snap Eight Game Skid To End Regular Season

The UPS Store South Shore Mustangs capped off their regular season in style with a 4-1 victory Sunday over the Weeks Major Midgets in Pictou.

Ryan Semple scored twice while Lawson Cook and Konnor Daniels added the other goals.

Goaltender Jeremy Robar stopped 21 shots to help the Mustangs snap an eight game losing skid.

Head Coach Brogan Bailey says the team was involved in many close games and finally came out on top.

“We had opportunities to bury our chances in most of those eight games and could’ve easily come out with the ‘W’ but, to be able to see those guys get over the hump tonight it was very important heading into the playoffs.”

The Mustangs finished the regular season in seventh place with a record of 10 wins, 23 losses and three shootout losses.

They will meet the Halifax McDonalds in the first round of the playoffs later this month.
