Fans of the musical Grease are in for a treat tonight.
The Liverpool International Theatre Festival is holding its second sing-along fundraiser at the Astor Theatre.
Festival chairperson Jean Robinson-Dexter, says the festival committee screened a sing-along version of Mamma Mia last year, with great success.
She says they’re encouraging people to come dressed up and get into the spirit.
Last year’s event also saw plenty of attendees dress in costume so organizers held a costume parade, something they’re hoping to do this time around too.
“We give them a goodie bag that has all sorts of fun things in it they can use throughout the movie.”
Robinson-Dexter says people who have enjoyed attending showings of other sing-alongs or the Rocky Horror Picture Show, will see that kind of participation in tonight’s event.
“There are some fun interactive things that we’ll share tomorrow night that folks can do when they see certain characters come on the screen.”
Grease starts at 7 p.m. at the Astor Theatre.
