The Astor Theatre has secured multi-year funding through a federal fund. Ottawa will provide the historic theatre will $24000 – spread out over the next two years. The money will be used to help the theatre present its performing arts series “This is Canada” in Liverpool’s only performance venue. The series will feature six different shows in various forms of music, dance and theatre. They will be held between September and March. Meanwhile, the Hank Snow Museum also received $8,000 in funding through the federal government. It will help with costs to put on the 24th Annual Hank Snow Tribute later this month.
