Lunenburg District RCMP Find Shoeless Suspect

RCMP have located a 25-year-old man who fled police earlier this week.

Lunenburg District RCMP was responding to a break and enter in progress in the early hours of March 14 when the two suspects fled the scene.

One man fled into the ocean and was caught.

A second man ran into the woods, losing his shoes in the process, and evading police.

Police say they located the man in Hubbards on the evening of March 14 a few hours after they released information to the public regarding the incident.

However, RCMP spokesperson Cst. Natasha Dantise says they couldn’t release information about his arrest until today and he is still under investigation.

The Bridgewater man has not yet been charged.

Meanwhile, the first suspect, Mason Gary Michael Brigley, 21 of Fox Point, is facing charges of obstruction, mischief, failure to comply with conditions, break and enter, and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

He appeared in court March 14 and was released on conditions.

The investigation is ongoing.
