One Hundred and Thirty Games Scheduled For Gary L Wentzell Hockey Tournament

The Gary L Wentzell March Break Minor Hockey Tournament begins Wednesday in Lunenburg, Bridgewater and Liverpool.

One hundred and thirty games will be played over five days in various atom, peewee, bantam and midget divisions.

The tournament features more than 70 teams.

Tournament chair Devan Naugler says it’s a busy week.

“The tournament itself is the largest rural tournament east of Toronto, not in a metropolitan setting,” says Naugler.

“It certainly does bring an influx of people to our beautiful South Shore area.”

For a lot of teams, this is the last tournament they will play this season while others have playoff, provincials or the SEDMHA tournament left on their schedule.

Full tournament details can be found here.
