Maltais claims bronze in Milan

Canada’s Valerie Maltais captured her third medal of the Winter Olympics Friday.

Maltais finished third in the women’s 1,500-metre speedskating event.

She previously won gold in the women’s team pursuit and another bronze in the 1,500-metre event.

The medal was Canada’s 16th of the Games.

Women’s curlers will play for bronze

Rachel Homan’s rink fell short in their quest for gold.

Team Canada fell to Sweden 6-3 in the semifinal.

They’ll face the United States for Bronze at 8 a.m Eastern/9 a.m. Atlantic on Saturday.
