A cup of coffee in the morning helps her fight off her depression.
Melda Roach Clark is in Lockeport Thursday to host A Broken Mind.
She will be discussing mental health, depression, childhood abuse and body image.
Clark says this is personal for her, because she was sexually abused as a child.
“My presentation is not disturbing in any way – I’ve had fairly young children sit through it,” she says.
“There is humour [and] there are things to learn about different coping mechanism that I’ve come up with that help me.”
She says it’s important to discuss mental health so people will get a discussion going.
Clark will be at the Lillian B. Benham Library at 7 p.m.
