Memorial Hockey Tournament Raises $3,500 Towards Journey Room

The Journey Room at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater just received some unexpected support.
Organizers of the Dave Wynn Memorial Hockey Tournament decided to contribute proceeds from last year and this year to the room.
The event in Lawrencetown is held in memory of the former Bridgewater paramedic and several local hockey players participated.
Health Services Foundation Development Officer, Allison Clements, says the money came as a surprise.
“And so, it’s actually going to be a total of $3,500 going towards the Journey Room, which is amazing.”
The funding will go toward supplies in the room including wigs, bonnets and other services to support cancer patients and their families
