Trial Rescheduled For Doctor Accused of Trafficking Prescription Pills

A trial for a Tantallon doctor accused of trafficking prescription pills has been delayed until the spring.

Sarah Dawn Jones was expected to be in Bridgewater court today.

But, court officials say she was not on the docket and now has two weeks set aside for trial beginning April 3.

Police allege Jones wrote prescriptions for 50,000 oxycodone pills over a one-year period.

She pled not guilty to a number of offences last June including possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of trust, theft, drawing a document without authority and fraud.
