Congratulations to all our students on a job well done as they wrap up the weirdest year of school ever! Entering summer 2020 is no doubt feeling odd too.
I feel bad for all of you that had to miss the last couple months with your friends and playing your favorite sports; but most of all my heart goes out to any students in a transition year. Grade 5 or 6 into middle school, grade 9 into high school, our grade 12 graduates and those graduating from college or university. You have been robbed of traditional celebrations, but on the other hand, you now have memories of something that no one has ever experienced before.
This picture was sent to me yesterday from Amy Mac Gowan Photography in an attempt to sum up graduating this year.

A lot of stars have offered messages to students including Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter (Bill & Ted). There’s nothing as bodacious as what just happened dude.

I want to wish you all a safe, fun and happy summer and hopefully we will get back to the normal late bus and school cancellation announcements in the fall. To quote my high school crest (NGRHS) “Carpe Diem”, or in English “Seize the Day!”
