When you see a licence plate from another province, or another country, how does it make you feel? Yesterday I was in the Tim Hortons drive thru behind a car with a plate from a western province and it made me feel a bit concerned, we’ll call it the “Cotton Eye Joe Syndrome”, Where did you come from, Where did you go?….
I remember as a kid growing up, it was always exciting to see plates from other parts of the world in places like the Turkey Burger parking lot. But now, I have to say I get a bit of an uneasy feeling in light of what has been happening over the past few months.
As we get ready for the opening of the Atlantic Bubble, no doubt we will start to see more out of province plates. Here is something to beware of if you plan to travel to another province, “Plate Shaming”. This has been an issue lately in Prince Edward Island.
