Christmas 2020, Only THREE MONTHS Away!!

It is official, we have spent most of 2020 in a state of uncertainty and wondering what is going to happen next. Seems about all we know for sure are the dates on the calendar, Thanksgiving and Halloween in October, Remembrance Day in November and then in December we have Christmas. Actually Christmas is only three months from today!

Now I know most of you are thinking, what is wrong with this guy, it is way too early to talk about this, but we do live in the Christmas Tree Capitol of the World and that means trees will start moving in a few weeks. I have also been thinking in the back of my mind as well that a plan for shopping early might not be a bad idea this year. Many items are in demand and if CoVid numbers force another shutdown, the potential for an inability to get gifts in time for the big day could be very real. This might not even be a BAD thing, but it would certainly add to the odd list for this year.

With all the strange things we have seen in 2020, I wonder how many Christmas trees will have themed decorations? Some will just want things to look as normal as possible, but I can see some doing things like using toilet paper for tinsel in recognition of 2020. Also, if you are wanting to add some ornaments inspired by this year, now you can.

Those of you that just love the holidays, maybe the Christmas tunes will start playing in your home to get you into the spirit early. Eggnog is on the store shelves already, and the Hallmark Christmas movie schedule for this year is already out. October 24 is the day the red truck will stop hauling leaves and pumpkins to decorate the barn and switch to hauling evergreen trees to decorate the same barn for Christmas.

Here’s when all 40 new Hallmark Christmas movies will air

Now I feel you can always feel festive, anytime by just watching this classic Christmas cartoon. Here are some of the highlights of the original 1966 classic by Dr. Seuss, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
