Not A BAAAAHD Day To Duck Out Early, It’s Farm Animal Day!

Today we celebrate something I know most children (and many adults) enjoy, farm animals. “World Farm Animal Day” is the perfect day to visit a farm, or at least take a drive through the country to see some cows or sheep grazing in a field. Another way to ‘celebrate’ is to educate yourself on farming in Canada. Here are some facts on the industry:

The Real Dirt On Farming

I thought it was influenced by the fact that we have animals, the reason our little guy has a lot of farm themed books and toys. But experts say that even if you are raising a child in the city, learning farm animal names and sounds is an important part of their development.

Reasons Kids Should Know Their Farm Animals

Another way to celebrate farm animal day might be dressing, and I don’t mean the stuff you have with Thanksgiving dinner. Dressing your animals used to be mainly reserved for horses, but now there are ear warmers for calves, goats in pajamas and then there is this in honor of “Tiger King“, haha.

Before I moooove on and wrap up this post, I have to offer up a video I know my little guy will enjoy too of funny cows. Happy World Farm Animal Day.
