I have always been a cautious traveler when came to planned trips in that I always made sure I had insurance on any bookings, just in case. Well the past six plus months, I would think, would fall under that “just in case” category. With borders closed and travel non-existent, many planned trips had to be cancelled, including planned March Break excursions.
Now I guess I am just naive because I would think if you book your trip and get the insurance… You have taken the precautions thinking about the what ifs, hoping nothing will ever go wrong. But this year it did, so your trip is cancelled and your money comes back to you, minus the insurance cost.

I don’t doubt that travel will look very different and likely cost more in a post CoVid world. Air travel has already gone up in this province.
