Brighten Your Wednesday With These Christmas Light Displays

It seems this year the Christmas lights were brightening our nights earlier than most other years. I think it is needed a bit. On a stressful year, anything to cause a smile, and it is hard to look at Christmas lights without a smile. Unfortunately some traditions are not happening. For those of us that always planned an evening during the holidays to stroll through Bob’s Christmas Village, we have to get our festive light fix elsewhere. Or enjoy memories of years past.

We have always enjoyed driving around to see the Christmas displays around the area and I have discovered this year it takes some work to measure up. Our oldest loves seeing the lights and the other night he saw a nicely decorated home and we heard “OOOOHHHH” from the back seat. The next house only had a few lights and we hear “Hmhh”, haha. Made me think of this classic picture.

With restrictions on travel, many lighting events are not an option either. So I thought we could check out some of the top light displays across Canada from here this morning. A great chance to enjoy some Christmas lights, and maybe create a bucket list of where you hope to travel to enjoy lights in person when things get back to normal again. Enjoy.
