Do You Go To GOOGLE?

I had a chat with a friend last night and he was talking about fixing his car and how his son had googled what needed to be done for the repair. That got me thinking about how different things are and how dependent we are on instant information. Instead of having to call a garage to ask what to do or read the owners manual, a quick search and you are an expert. That eliminates the importance of protecting the owners manual for a vehicle. I always laugh when I think of vehicle manuals and this meme that has been floating around the internet

 

Well it seems that if we lost the internet tomorrow, not only would vehicles have to go unrepaired, but our houses might fall into disrepair. A survey conducted south of the border found that more than half of us would be unable to even carry out simple house repairs without google.

It does seem that Canadians were less concerned with repairs last year as the most common google searches were “Why” not “How to”:
