This week is flying by as we are getting things organized for this Friday and the Gift from the Heart Radiothon on Country 100.7. The other thing that is coming up this weekend, Valentine’s Day!
As with all other events and holidays, Valentine’s Day is going to be different this year. While couples try to think of options on this day of love, since shows are pretty much out and restaurants will fill up quickly, what about the children? The idea of making a “mailbox” to hang on your desk to collect cards, will that still work in our current environment?
We are lucky enough in our province and especially here on the South Shore to have the CoVid numbers under control, but much like the treats at Halloween, Valentine cards should be left for a few days before they are opened.
We’re still thinking that 72 hours is probably the limit for the amount of time that the virus would be alive on surfaces,” said Dr. Comeau.
She also said that students could wash their hands directly beforehand, make their cards (with masks on) and then distribute them, but that quarantining the cards is probably the safest way to go.
Also only individual wrapped store bought treats are recommended. Here are the details on recommendations for schools on Valentine’s Day 2021
How schools are doing Valentine’s Day this year
I swear I am not addicted to the Simpsons, but any time I think of Valentine’s Day in school, Ralph comes to mind. Even if it looks a bit different, I hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day.
