As the camping world awakens to a regular looking season of enjoying the great outdoors, I feel it is only right to up the snack/treat game.
Today is one of the many hamburger days on the calendar, honoring the dude that sold the first burger on this day in 1900. The official Hamburger or Cheeseburger Day in Canada comes up in September. But for today’s topic I want to focus on the fact that today is Milk Chocolate Day. A tasty treat alone for sure, but also a substance that can be a very important part of many yummy concoctions.
One that comes to mind is something I first got to enjoy at camp, the infamous S’MORE! A dieter’s nightmare, Graham crackers with chocolate and a roasted marshmallow to melt it together, mmmmm.
Now if we look at options for making s’mores, I thought it ended with type of chocolate, whether you use the “Celebration” cookies or old fashioned Graham crackers and how dark you toast your marshmallow. I have been living in the dark. Check out these recipes for s’mores.

In case you are wondering, someone DID make an expensive version of a s’more. It cost a lot more than I would have imagined…. The “World’s Most Expensive S’more” comes to about $73,028.
