I know it is a busy time of year and now with the forecasted snow, a lot of people have a LONG to do list as they prepare for the winter weather. But that said, tis the season for giving and there are many people and places in need if you are wanting and able to help.
You know the Country 100.7 Toy Drive continues in support of the Salvation Army. This Saturday we are live at Fresh Cuts Market and the area around tree at the South Shore Centre is starting to fill up thanks to all your generous donations.
Yesterday I found a couple more fundraisers that need support. When we picked up the teddy bears at the LCLC from the Teddy Bear Toss, I noticed they are trying to fill a net for SHAID. This fundraising effort wraps up next week and as you can see, there is still room in the net if you would like to help out.

The other important fundraising event I visited yesterday was the bake sale at the South Shore Centre in support of The Rose Fund. Today is the second day of this event and with generous volunteers continuing to drop off items, there is still a great selection to choose from. This is your chance to have impressive Christmas baking to offer family and guests this season, and you don’t even have to turn on the oven. They also have some jams and handy work to pick from. You might even be able to check a few people off your list, all in support of a very important cause.
The sale is on 10am to 8pm today, or until they run out of things to sell. Make sure you stop by.
I was able to sneak a picture with Maxine Himmelman from the Rose Fund when I dropped by yesterday.
