Kicking off the last week of April 2022 already. Hard to believe how fast time flies.
As quickly as the first few months flew, we know that the warmer weather is only going to make time pass quicker and before we know it we will be into summer. For those that have been missing live music events, I am happy to say that side of summer seems to be back to normal for 2022. The first sign of a normal busy year locally was the announcement that The Big Ex is back this summer and the long awaited concert from Emerson Drive will be on the main stage. “2022 Big Ex WILL be held this year from July 26th to July 31st” South Shore Exhibition
Another big event that happens in July takes place in Lockeport, Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women & Song 2022. So far we have this announcement from the committee “We’re excited to announce that Hillsburn and Kellie Loder will be headlining Harmony Bazaar Festival of Women & Song 2022!” Make your plan to check it out Fri, Jul 22 – Sun, Jul 24, 2022

Folk Harbour Festival will once again liven up Lunenburg this August for the 37th year. Their site suggests you save the dates August 4-7, 2022. We know from experience the entertainment will be top notch and lots of it. There is so much this year that music events have started early with shows throughout the spring as well. Keep an eye on their website for upcoming dates.

These are just a few of the many events coming up along the South Shore in 2022. I know there are tonnes more that we will find out about as we get closer to the warm weather.

Now if you can’t wait and need to see live music sooner than later, the East Coast Music Awards are being celebrated in Fredericton, NB May 4-8, 2022. I can speak from experience when I tell you the ECMA’s are always a great time and the perfect place to open your eyes and ears to great new acts.

There are so many other shows coming up. I know this list could go on for days. Just be assured that if you are looking for musical entertainment, there is a tonne of it right here in your backyard. This list doesn’t even talk about the mini Hank Snow event being planned for this summer, Cavendish Beach Music Festival and Riverfest 2022, back after a two-year hiatus.
