I have said this a few times over the past few months, where did everybody go? Most of the people I know are working or retired (not recently), but everywhere I look there is a business looking for workers. How can this be the case?
Yesterday I got to spend the day at the Youth Empolyment Centre with their summer student interns Janelle and Grace. They have been working hard this summer to gather information and prepare presentations to help those entering the workforce. They are also offering great advice for those that are looking for a change in employment.
From creating resumes and cover letters to great advice on how to make your online presence work friendly, this is a one stop shop for those looking for employment. There is also a big binder of available jobs. All you need to do is look at the many options and try to decide what will be a good fit for you.

Last night I also had the opportunity to announce for the RCMP Musical Ride at the South Shore Exhibition grounds. What a show!!
As part of the announcing there was a section that talked about how the RCMP are looking for new members to join up. Another great opportunity for a fulfilling career.

Then this morning when I log on, I see this job pop up. A candy worker making a hundred grande!

I am not reading too much into this as I did not find any pink slips on my desk yet, haha. But it does seem that the options are endless when it comes to employment options. These are just a few that I noticed over the past 24 hours. A drive through Bridgewater alone will give you the chance at jobs varying from retail to restaurant management.
I also know for a fact that most farmers would jump at the chance to have people interested in working with hay, speaking from experience, haha. Even the Big Ex is still hiring for the week.
