A successful fundraiser will help purchase new physiotherapy equipment at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg.
The 17th Annual Curl for a Cause over the weekend raised $40,300.
It will be used to buy seven pieces of equipment including a customizable wheelchair, an electronic stair climbing treadmill and a shockwave therapy machine.
Managing Director of the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore, Arleen Stevens, says the fundraiser is a testament to the strength and generosity of the community.
Curl for a Cause has raised over $400,000 for necessary medical equipment since it started in 2000.
