I remember the day I decided that a drive to Daytona Beach was a good idea and jumped in my 1990 VW Fox and hit the road. The car was not working well, but that was not a worry as we were only driving to the states and the biggest concern was getting to the warm weather. The idea of being concerned about leaving the country didn’t cross anyone’s mind and when the car did break down, the state trooper cracked a joke about me being a 6’6″ driver of a VW Fox.
The same relaxed feel was true when it came to certain areas throughout the world. A trip down South was a chance to enjoy the sunshine in paradise.
It seems that things are changing for travel to many locations in 2026 as a travel advisory was issued yesterday for a favorite southern destination.
