Almost 150 days into their crowd funding campaign the Bridgewater Skate Park Committee have raised a little under $1,500.
That’s a far cry from their $250,000 goal.
Chair Jennifer McDonald says the group is still hopeful, but if they don’t see movement soon the project will be in trouble.
“Pretty much I would say this late spring, if we haven’t seen a great deal of support we may have to make that call to not move forward,” she says, “but, this committee is really very committed to seeing it through to the very bitter end.”
McDonald says without community support it’s hard to convince government and private sponsors to give money.
She says if everyone donated two dollars it would help prove residents are invested in the project.
