Yesterday I mentioned how I have a trip booked for the end of August to go to Victoria, BC. I also mentioned how I’m not sure yet if I’ll be going or not, I’m holding off a bit and will make a final decision June into July.
Not going to lie, with everything going on…I’m a little nervous to fly this year. Plus, we don’t even know if personal travel is going to be OK with workplaces, or if all boarders will be opened up.
With that said, WestJet has given us an idea on how things will be different when people start to travel again.
Some of the biggest changes will be that tickets/ check ins will be all done by phone, no kiosks anymore. Also, you will be asked to wear a mask, temperatures will be taken, there will be more space between passengers, and no snacks on smaller flights. Of course there will be extra cleaning as well.
They will also ask you health questions…and don’t ever think about lying. If you are caught lying about possible COVID-19 symptoms, you could be fined $5000.
Pretty crazy that this is our new normal, but it’s what we have to do. You can find out more about Westjet’s safety measures that they announced HERE!
