This is so cool. The DesBrisay Museum and Wile Carding Mill Museum have teamed up and created 7 awesome kits that you and your family can take advantage of.
They are calling them “Heritage At Home” kits, and you can rent them out and learn about our history from your very own home.
The Kits Are:
Sock Puppet — Bring Daisy the Cow or Dolly the Sheep to life. Then perform your very own puppet show!
Pick, Card, and Spin Wool — Learn how wool was processed before machinery.
Museum Curator — Ever wonder what a museum curator does? With this kit you can become a curator! Find your own artifacts around your home or use the ones provided in the kit.
Painted Oxen — Using the sample provided, paint your own wooden oxen. Be creative and make it your own!
Felted Soap — Learn how to wet felt wool around a bar of soap. The more you use it, the more the wool felts.
Sheep Magnet — Give your sheep a name and put it on your fridge for all to see!
Needle Felting — Using a felting needle and wool, get creative and felt a picture.
