Now that we have some snow to play in, you don’t have to worry about spending a fortune on buying winter activity stuff for the kids.
The Town of Bridgewater has you covered, all thanks to their “WINTERACTIVE” Equipment loan program.
Here’s all the Details:

To help make play and healthy living accessible to everyone, Bridgewater is proud to offer equipment to help you try out new activities — and the best part? It’s completely free of charge!
Equipment available for loan includes:
• Snowshoes (ranging in size from children to adult)
• Nordic Walking Poles
• Sleds and Crazy Carpets
• Snow Brick Makers (for building amazing snow forts)
Equipment can be booked by calling the Recreation Department at 902-543-2274 or by e-mailing a request to: recreation@ bridgewater.ca.
Please note that a $30 cash/cheque deposit is required upon pick up of snowshoes and the deposit is refunded upon safe return.
Equipment can be loaned for up to four days at a time and must be picked up and returned to the Community Development Office, located on the First Floor at the lower (rear) entrance of Town Hall.
