As fun and interactive as Social Media is, you still have to be careful using it…Especially teens.
Instagram knows this, and are working on some new rules to help keep teens safe on their platform.
You are suppose to be at least 13 years old to use Instagram and they will implementing new rules around finding out peoples real age. So no lying about your age to make an account. They are using artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to do this.
They also will stop direct messages from adults younger people don’t know. This will help stop “suspicious” people from contacting younger users. They will also encourage young people to have private accounts.
They are hoping to have these changes made globally in the next couple months.
