Here’s Why You Should Always Check If There Is Any Burn Restrictions Before You Have A Bonfire Or Burn!!!

Yesterday with it being over 36 degrees with the humidity, I don’t think it was any shock that there was a provincial wide burn ban in place.

Often I hear people question why they can’t have a bonfire on a really hot day…. but often it’s because we don’t realize how quickly things can get out of hand. With it being crazy hot out, a single spark can cause a forest fire.

Dahl Dispatch shared a video from Kara McCurdy, that shows on a hot day, how a cigarette (not put out properly) can cause real damage.

Pretty crazy, right!!! So always check before you have a bonfire or burn. You can find burn restrictions 2pm daily, HERE!!!
