A new weekly transit service for Blandford residents to and from Chester is now available.
Community wheels is a non-profit organization offering a drive to run errands, medical appointments and social events.
Coordinator, Sandra Reynolds says the weekly Blandford service has been operating on a trial basis.
“Right now we’ve been using a four passenger van because we haven’t had enough to use the bus. But we do have a fourteen passenger bus and that’s what we use for our trips to New Ross on Thursdays,” said Reynolds.
Reynolds is hoping to encourage more interest and start running the 14-seat bus to pick up those in need in Blandford.
The non-profit transit service runs on a pay-what-you-can approach with donation boxes in the vehicles.
