When I think of waffles, my mind goes to the classic “leggo my Eggo” commercials. I remember many mornings with Eggos hot out of the toaster and Aunt Jemima syrup on them. That is still a quick grab option on the way out the door to school or morning hockey practice.
I personally like a good blueberry pancake, but there is a benefit to waffles. The biggest one is that the little squares hold whatever you are topping them with.
Maple syrup is my classic go to now, but when I am working murder mystery weekends at the Oak Island Inn, they have cream and berries for their waffles and that is tasty too.
