RCMP have charged two men after a drug bust on Sunday.
Police made a targeted stop of a taxi cab near Chester on Highway 103.
A significant amount of cocaine, crack and fentanyl pills were found in the vehicle.
The occupants, 31-year old Matthew Kevin Glavine of Conquerall Bank and Calvin Stephen Bowles, 52 of Bridgewater were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in the three substances.
Sergeant Mark MacPherson with Lunenburg District RCMP says it’s important to keep these drugs off the streets.
“People have to be mindful how serious, not only addictions and the use of these drugs are – prescription pills included. But that fentanyl has made an appearance in this province.”
Glavine pleaded guilty yesterday and was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison.
Bowles appeared in Bridgewater Court this morning and charges against him were withdrawn.
