I was shocked yesterday when my friend sent me a picture of a tick! Already!
She found it on her dog during a grooming session.
I thought maybe with the snowy winter this year, ticks wouldn’t be as bad this season, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Experts say that a long lasting, snowy winter can actually make the tick season worse.
The snow creates an insulating blanket for ticks that protects them from the harsh, lethal temperatures.
Joy…
So, time to start checking yourself and your pets over for ticks.
