David Osborne Whynot

WHYNOT, David Osborne – Age 58, of Liverpool. Passed away at home on March 27, 2026.

Those who knew David, knew he was loving, caring and willing to help everyone. He believed laughter helped no matter how hard life could be. He would work odd jobs over the years, most recent being a custodian, until his illness prevented him from working. David lived with his illness and going for dialysis for 34 years, he was the longest patient ever to receive that treatment in Nova Scotia. To the many wonderful people entered and exited his life, Thank-you.

Surviving David’s life is his sister, Kimberley; nephew Marceus (Amanda) Whynot; great-niece, Sophi; 1 half-brother; and uncle, Jim (Joann) Whynot.

A Special Thanks to the caring nurses of the Dialysis Unit, a special thanks to the person who open their heart to take in David’s feline friend, and to Monica who cared for David as family, not as a homecare patient.

There will be no visitation by request. There will be a private Graveside Committal Service for David being held Friday, April 10, in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, New Germany, those who would like to attend are asked to contact the family. There will be a public gathering with refreshments being held in the St. John’s Anglican Hall next to the church, following the private graveside service. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Kidney Foundation, or Canadian Heart and Stroke. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, New Germany.
